Door hanger finishing options: a guide
Lamination
We offer a range of laminations to add durability and aesthetic to your door hanger design. Choose from gloss (shiny), matt (matte) of soft-touch (for a velvety feel). Take a look at our comprehensive lamination guide for more details.
Foiling
Foiling is a technique that is just as it sounds! Coloured foil will be applied under heat and pressure to your design, creating stand-out elements. We often recommend foiling for the name of your company or product, to really make those memorable.
Foiling is a fantastic technique to raise the luxury factor of your product instantly! Perfect for invitations, box sleeves, and of course, door hangers. A ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign in gold foiling – the height of hotel elegance!
Holographic foiling
A similar technique as above, but incorporating a shiny, reflective hologramatic material. Perfect for authenticating, this will allow your door hangers to be one of a kind.
Spot UV
Spot UV is a similar technique to foiling, but instead of foil we use a highly reflective, silver material. This provides a very modern look, and as such is very popular with forward-thinking, futuristic hotels and spas.
Variable data printing
Variable data printing is a technique where individual differences can be printed onto each door hanger within the same print run. This means that you can tailor-make your door hangers to each room, with sequential number printing. You can also make every door hanger individual to the room – with a different graphic or piece of text.
Furthermore, you can even print different QR codes on each door hanger (or on some of them). This would be ideal for different levels of rooms – executive rooms for example, where maybe a service dry cleaning is included would have a different QR taking them to this relevant information, than a standard room.
